Leila Houle, your UCP candidate for Edmonton-Highlands-Norwood
As a self-made woman of Indigenous heritage, Leila Houle sees how the NDP’s out-of-touch and job-killing policies have failed Alberta families including those of indigenous heritage.
During her work with the Treaty Six Confederacy, Leila used her leadership position to advocate for jobs and employment for all Albertans. Understanding that employment opportunities are of the utmost importance for Indigenous and Métis Albertans, Leila will be a strong advocate for reducing taxes and red tape to create the free enterprise environment that helps businesses succeed.
In order to promote employment skills, Leila provided workshops on professional and personal development to ensure that Indigenous Albertans and those of Métis heritage are prepared to enter the workforce. For this work, she was a recipient of the Alberta Aboriginal Role Model Award.
Leila has always worked to promote jobs and employment and looks forward to working with Jason Kenney’s diverse and experienced United Conservative team that will focus on jobs, the economy, and building coastal pipelines.
